Apple: Just as prone to failing as PCs
Working in an IT department for as long as I have, you learn of few things. One of those things is that Apple computers are built just like any other machines. Yeah, they may look a bit nicer than most, but on the inside, they’re all the same. I don’t really see where the extra money goes on them. The parts come from the same over-worked Chinese factory that Dell parts do.

- Paul: fighting a horde of zombies, limited ammo, and varies XP and skills, making a stand in small town, where you do it and how?
- Me: Can I run away from the group and make my last stand elsewhere?
- Paul: group of 10 BTW
- no zombies coming from all major routes
- Me: Why are they converging on our position?
- Paul: one of the members in your group poppped off a few dozen rounds at nothing in a panic, drew every zombie in a 2 mile radius
- Me: As soon as he did that I would have told him that we need to leave, so I would have never been in a last stand type of scenario.
- Paul: you all had no food a all, had to finish lotting the grocery storee, or starvve to death
- group decided to risk it, for ten min
- underestimated how many zombies were that close
- Me: I would have just grabbed what I could have, and left in 2 min. leaving them to die while I head to a colder climate, where zombies will freeze, because they produce no body heat.
- Paul: one of them is a pregneant women
- Me: Sucks to be her.
- Paul: damn you are gonna survive
Wonder what happens next….
Well, it’s been a while, I know. I’ve been busy. With life.
A lot has happened to me in the past several months. My outlook on life has changed a bit, and I’m maybe a little worse for ware, but that’s improving. I recently came out of a longterm relationship of over 3 years. My opinions on God have changed dramatically, and I’m trying to find my own way of living my life. For myself. And finally, I’ve moved. Add to that the fact that I’ve been working full time since the start of the year, I think one can see how I’ve been feeling a bit stressed out.
I’ve been trying to focus on the future/present though, and not dwell on the past, which seems to be helping. One of the big helps has been trying to find out what I want to do with my life as far as a career goes. Today, I received my study guide for the CISSP certification exam. It’s been said that this particular exam is the most difficult to pass because of the breadth of material covered. ’An inch deep and a mile wide’ were the exact words. The study guide is over 1200 pages and covers all 10 cbk (common body knowledge) domains.
I’m going to master this material, and pass this exam.
Today, I’m going to turn things around. No more feeling sad about things that have already happened. They happened. Time to move on. I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who have had worse days than I have had.
Yeah….
So it’s been a while, I know. I’ll get something up here. Eventually.
So I’ve decide to learn python. It’s a fairly powerful scripting language, and the syntax is pretty easy to pick up. I’ll probably post bits of code that I’ve written just to update everyone on what’s probably going to be an interesting journey.

So I think this is the first time I’ve messed with this website in a long time, but I’m afraid of Facebook, so this might just become a permanent replacement. I’m going to try and update this a bit more often, but we’ll see how that goes.
